For almost 50 years, Camp Ramah in California has brought people together from across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Israel to expand their own creativity, learn from dynamic teachers and specialists, explore being Jewish in today’s world and experience the beauty of nature. Young people at Ramah develop leadership skills, lasting friendships and a strong Jewish consciousness. Jewish study is another important part of a summer at Ramah. Hebrew is spoken and learned at camp in a spirit unique to Ramah. Jewish values underlie a concern for each individual and the development of a spirited and warm community. Ramah is more than a camp; it is an extended family where friendships forged and experiences gained last a lifetime.
