TEEN TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES

The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee and its generous donors are committed to providing teen travel scholarships for educational, experiential and exploratory programs. General eligibility requirements for Teen Travel Scholarships vary for each program. Click on the tabs below to find out more information on a particular program.

Participate in 6-, 8-, or 18-week programs and enjoy college living in a high school environment. This is a partial scholarship. Click the tab above to find out more.

Develop leadership skills, explore who you are as an individual and as a team member, learn first-hand the importance of Israel to Jews around the world. This two-year exchange program includes Mifgash (visits with Israeli peers) during each summer: once in Florida and once in Israel. Click the tab above to find out more.

Join thousands of other Jewish teens from around the world in a once-in-a-lifetime experience as the entire group marches 3 kilometers from Auschwitz to Birkenau to commemorate Yom Hashoah. Then fly to Israel for a week of celebration and exploration. Click the tab above to find out more.

Confirm (teens or young adults) acceptance into a three- to 52-week trip to Israel sponsored by an accredited program, and receive a subsidy of up to $2,500. Click the tab above to find out more.

Take part in an accredited academic, experiential-based or volunteer-based domestic teen travel program, and receive a subsidy from The Jewish Federation. Click the tab above for more information.

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE MADE POSSIBLE BY THE GENEROSITY OF THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF SARASOTA-MANATEE AND ITS DONORS. The Teen Travel Committee also volunteers their time to read each application and interview each applicant. Applicants are encouraged  and expected to put forth their best effort when completing their applications, including editing and proof reading their essay questions and providing accurate, detailed information as requested.
